Apply

The process

All DCAA job opportunities are listed on the Federal Government's official one-stop source for Federal jobs and employment information, USAJOBS.gov. Follow the Steps below to access DCAA-specific job announcements on USAJOBS and apply for a position at DCAA.

STEP 1 — Find the Right Job for You

DCAA Auditor jobs are categorized as entry, mid, and senior levels, and, as such, are associated with different pay levels or "grades":

  • Entry-Level Positions: GS-05, GS-07, and GS-09 grade levels
  • Mid-Level Positions: GS-11 and GS-12 grade levels
  • Senior-Level Positions: GS-13, GS-14, and GS-15 grade levels

For more information on grade levels, refer to Levels of Auditors under our FAQs Page.

You can also calculate your salary according to job location and grade level by using the OPM GS Salary Calculator.

STEP 2 – Search for current DCAA openings at www.usajobs.gov

All DCAA job opportunities are listed on USAJOBS.gov. You may filter your job search by grades, job categories, geographic locations, salaries, dates the job announcements were posted, and by using other search criteria.

To search for student opportunities in DCAA, visit: http://www.usajobs.gov/StudentJobs. Please be advised that these opportunities are limited and may not be available in all DCAA regions at all times. We encourage you to check on USAJOBS.GOV frequently for updates on student opportunities that are currently available.

STEP 3 – Read the Job Announcement

The job announcement will provide you with detailed information about job qualifications, duties, salary, location, benefits, and security requirements. Here you will be able to determine if your interests, education, and professional background make you a candidate who qualifies for the job.

STEP 4 – Apply for the Job

Follow the instructions in the "How to Apply" section of each job announcement on USAJOBS. Instructions will guide you through the application process, providing you detailed information on the questions, forms, and format that must be addressed and used to capture your qualifications for the job. Once you have completed and submitted your application, you may check your USAJOBS account for the status of your application. For more information, refer to Applying under our FAQs Page.
