At
DCAA, our greatest investment is in our people. To prepare
you for our unique mission, new auditors receive over 300
hours of Continuing Professional Education training during
their first two-years, and an average of 60 hours per year
thereafter. This specialized training is provided through
our own Defense Contract Audit Institute located in Memphis,
Tennessee.
In
a work environment designed to stimulate and actively support
professional growth, DCAA aggressively promotes attainment
of professional certifications and advanced degrees (e.g.
CPA, CIA, MBA, MPA) by its auditors. In support of this strategic
goal, we sponsor CPA coaching courses and pay for courses
taken in pursuit of advanced degrees.
Eager
to make a difference? Our auditors are given independent and
challenging work assignments on mission-critical projects
within the first few months of employment. Assignments are
designed to challenge an auditor's imagination, skill, and
commitment to excellence. Whatever your assignment, you will
be given the opportunity and resources needed to gain unparalleled,
broad-based work experience.
With
over 350 work site locations nationwide, and overseas opportunities
in Europe, Asia, and the Middle East, DCAA auditors have endless
opportunity to broaden their knowledge of contractor financial
and accounting systems. And although we are multi-national
in operation, travel from the work site is typically local
- and overnight travel is limited.
