Like what you see but lack that degree? No problem...

If you are a student and are working on a diploma, degree, or certificate you are probably eligible for student employment with DCAA. As a student employee, you will receive valuable on-the-job training and work experience, and an opportunity to discover for yourself why DCAA is the employer of choice for so many graduates.

We offer two types of opportunities for students seeking employment with DCAA; the Student Temporary Employment Program (STEP), and the Student Career Experience Program (SCEP).

  • STEP allows us to hire students on a temporary basis for jobs that may or may not be related to their academic field of study. Employment under STEP can range from summer jobs to temporary employment lasting for as long as you are an eligible student.

  • For students seeking a work experience more directly related to their field of study, the SCEP lets you gain career-related experience while attending an accredited school. Commonly known as "cooperative education" (or co-op), this is a formally structured program requiring a written agreement between you, your school, and DCAA. Students employed under SCEP may work full or part-time schedules, may earn leave credit for illness and vacation, and are eligible for health and life insurance options. After completion of their academic and work requirements, students will be eligible for permanent employment.

Both of these options are great résumé builders, and an excellent way to see if a career with DCAA is the right choice for you. Detailed information on Federal student employment programs can be found at http://www.studentjobs.gov/firsttimers.asp (Click on Employment Information). Please be advised that student employment opportunities are limited, and are not available in all DCAA regions at all times. You should contact the DCAA Human Resources Office for the geographic area in which you are interested to find out if student employment opportunities are currently available.
