How Do I Login To EBIS?

How do I setup my EBIS account and my Point of Entry (POE) Password?

On your first visit the system will require you to setup a Point of Entry (POE) account. Once you identify yourself as a new user, the system prompts you to provide your Social Security Number (SSN), Date of Birth (MMDDYYYY), Service Computation Date (SCD) for Leave (MMDDYYYY), Civilian Pay Plan and Grade, and Step in Grade. The system verifies this information against the Civilian Personnel database to determine you are an authorized user. New employees should contact their local Human Resources Office (HRO) to obtain any information above unknown to the employee. Current employees or employees who transferred to DCAA from another government agency should have your latest LES or Personnel Action (SF-50) on hand so as to ensure the correct information is input. Below are the step by step instructions for setting up your EBIS account.

  • Enter the DoD-EBIS using the URL, https://ebis.satx.disa.mil. A Warning Notice will appear.
  • At the bottom of the notice select Continue. This will take you to the Point of Entry (POE) Login Screen.
  • Select Set Password under the New User/Forgot Password section. This will open the Create or Reestablish Password screen. You will need the information listed below for validation. You may locate this information from your most recent Leave and Earnings Statement (LES) or Notification of Personnel Action (SF-50).
    • Social Security Number (no dashes)
    • Date of Birth (MMDDYYYY)
    • Service Computation Date (SCD-Leave) (MMDDYYYY)
    • Pay Plan (2 digits, for example: GS, GM)
    • Pay Grade (2 digits, for example: 03, 05, 11, 12, 13)
    • Pay Step (2 digits, for example: 01, 03, 06, 10)
  • If you want to be notified by email of password changes, account creation, or password expiration, please enter an email address. This will also notify you of successful/unsuccessful attempts to recreate or change your Password.
  • Select Continue. This will open the Create Password screen.
  • To create your Password follow the on-screen instructions. You will only need to validate yourself to the system on your first visit to the web site. Later visits will require only your SSN (no dashes) and Password. Your Password must be at least 8 - 10 characters in length, cannot match any portion of your SSN forward or backwards and must contain at least 3 of the following 4 character types: uppercase letters (A-Z), lowercase letters (a-z), numerals (0-9), or non-alphanumeric special characters (i.e., @, #, !, %). Do not use an apostrophe (') in your Password. Remember that your Password is case sensitive, please be sure to enter it as you created it.
  • Once you have successfully created your Password, the system will bring you back to the Point of Entry (POE) Login Screen. You can now enter your SSN and Password you just created. This should display the following message screen: Your login was successful!
  • Select Application EBIS.
  • You will then be prompted to enter your SSN and a PIN number. Your PIN number is NOT the password you just established.

How do I create my DoD-EBIS PIN?

Your DoD EBIS PIN number is unique to EBIS. Your MyPay PIN and Point of Entry (POE) Password will not work as your DoD-EBIS PIN. BEFORE you can access any of your personal benefits information you will need to create your DoD-EBIS PIN.

To create your DoD-EBIS PIN go to the lower right corner of the DoD-EBIS Login screen and click the New User button. A screen will pop up and ask you to enter your SSN, your temporary DoD-EBIS PIN (which is your birth month and year (MMYY)), and then your new DoD-EBIS PIN (6 numeric digits). Once you have entered all of the data in the proper format click on the Set PIN button in the lower right portion of the screen. We recommend you change your DoD-EBIS PIN whenever you feel that it may have been compromised. You are now ready to use EBIS for your on-line Benefits transactions.

Below you will find useful information on how to reset you password and PIN as well as other administrative guidance relating to the use of EBIS.
