Atlanta, Ga. –
The newest cohort of the Directors Developmental Program in Leadership (DDPL) recently met for orientation in Atlanta, Ga. The DDPL program prepares future DoD leaders by participating in monthly seminars at prestigious universities and military commands throughout the 13-month program. Seminars teach participants the essential skills and knowledge needed for success in high-level leadership roles and Senior Executive Service positions. Beyond the seminars, the program focuses on the importance of practical skill applications. Capstone activities take place at the end of the program and have participants apply the concepts and theories they learned from the seminars to the real world.
Another key focus of the program is networking. The cohort members span ten different agencies, including DCAA’s participants representing eight different offices and regions. Orientation focused on facilitating communication and collaboration for the cohort members before learning about the DISC assessment and emotional intelligence. Throughout the week, the cohort explored conflict management, trust-building, and the art of problem-solving. Congratulations to the newest cohort!
