Fort Belvoir –
DCAA’s Professional Support Advisory Board (PSAB) represents DCAA’s more than 200 professional support staff. The Board is established to assess and analyze potential career development avenues, submit work process improvements and modifications, submit proposals for change, and address training needs for the professional support workforce.
Once a year, the Board meets to discuss the current year's accomplishments and goals for the next year. The major accomplishments for 2020 included developing a professional support staff career roadmap, conducting a retention analysis, and hosting a series of six training webinars. Additionally, they developed an on-boarding and shadowing program to improve the training of newly hired members of the community.
Looking forward, 2021’s goals include expanding the education opportunities for the community, reviewing and updating the Agency’s templates to ensure they meet DoD correspondence regulations, and developing the community website to improve networking across the community. They will also work toward establishing developmental positions and assignments to expand the advancement opportunities for the community.
The professional support staff community is integral to DCAA’s success. Their work impacts the entire DCAA workforce and keeps our Agency running smoothly.
