Fort Belvoir, Va. –
DCAA hosted a Charity Fair on January 11 as part of the Combined Federal Campaign(CFC) for 2022. The fair, held in the Defense Logistics Agency McNamara Complex, provided attendees the opportunity to learn about local charities. In turn, local charities had the opportunity to inform attendees about their work and benefits to the community.
Charities in attendance were Virginia Search and Rescue Dog Association Inc., Jayde M Schools Inc., House of Mercy, Tutoring Café, and Fairfax Pets on Wheels.
Since the establishment of the Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) by President Kennedy in 1961, the generous federal community has come together to raise over $8.6 billion for local, national, and international charities. Events such as this charity fair are an important part of the campaign showcasing charities and those who support them.
