Fort Belvoir, Va. –
On May 26, 2023, six DCAA employees graduated from the Defense Civilian Emerging Leader Program (DCELP). Mr. Kerry Byrum, Ms. Trupti Savalia, Mr. George Anthony, Ms. Leah Crayton, Ms. Aliya Gibson and Mr. Patrick Greene successfully completed this demanding course.
Every year the Department of Defense (DoD) provides an opportunity for employees within the Department to take part in. This DCELP program consists of four weeks of training focused on expanding the minds of aspiring future leaders. DCELP is open to GS-07 through GS-12 grade level employees in Acquisition, Financial Management, and Human Resources Career fields.
DCELP uses a competency-based approach emphasizing four key developmental aspects: Know Self, Express Self, Build Team, and Lead People. The goal of the program is to support participants in building a solid foundation for further development as leadership opportunities arise.
This year six DCAA employees were chosen to showcase their talents in this highly demanding course. During a four-week residential course, students participated in hands-on training that provided real time experience and mirrors what DoD leaders face on a daily basis.
Congratulations to DCELP Cohort-16 on successfully completing the course!
