In early October, DCAA proudly celebrated the success of this year’s mentoring program. Mentoring Program Manager Kurt Virkaitis led this year’s cohort. DCAA Director Terri Dilly attended the celebration and congratulated all participants. Ms. Dilly also highlighted the importance of this program, “mentoring programs fill an important role in individual and DCAA success.”
The DCAA mentoring program is a formal 10-month program that focuses on developing technical skills, leadership competencies, and soft skills to prepare mentees for career growth and progression. Mentors hone their leadership skills, gain deeper insights into DCAA culture, and showcase their mentoring success.
The mentoring program has high rates of success each year. This year, over a dozen mentees received promotions. Nearly ten percent of mentors were promoted, including to high level leadership and senior executive service positions.
