The Anita Bales Leadership Development Program (ABLDP) is a senior level leadership development program, formerly known as the Directors Development Program in Leadership. This is an immersive 18-month program designed to prepare and train prospective DoD leaders.

From the start of September 2024 to Jan. 15, 2025, DCAA employees donated over $70,000 to the Combined Federal Campaign, exceeding DCAA’s pledge goal.

Many connections can be found at the Defense Contract Audit Agency. Friends, colleagues, and even families are found across the regions and offices within DCAA. Among the families working at DCAA, many are spouses, some are children and parents, and one family is Julie Long’s. Julie is a Program Analyst whose family legacy spans three generations and nearly 60 years of service to DCAA.

In December 2017, 22 senior-level employees from DCAA, the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA), and the Army Audit Agency (AA) embarked on an immersive, premier, and critical journey led by the late DCAA director, Ms. Anita Bales. This cohort became the first graduates of the DCAA’s Director’s Development Program in Leadership on Feb. 26, 2019.

DCAA personnel in Headquarters participated in the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) tree lighting ceremony on December 10 at the McNamara Headquarters complex. The Headquarters annual holiday party took place on the second floor of the McNamara Headquarters building later that week on December 12.

Mr. Joseph Bucsko was officially inducted into the Senior Executive Services (SES) during a ceremony on Dec. 11, 2024.

Ms. Debbra Caw earned the 2024 Meritorious Presidential Rank Award (PRA), one of the most prestigious awards in the career civilian service.

Ms. Ida Pham joined the Senior Executive Service (SES) as the Deputy Regional Director, Western Region, in October 2024.

On Nov. 21, 2024, DCAA celebrated National American Indian Heritage Month with an employee panel to share experiences, stories, and ideas, supporting this year’s theme, Affirming Native Voices: Visibility – Leadership – Service.

On Wednesday, Nov. 20, 2024, Ms. Jennifer Desautel, DCAA Director, hosted a town hall for approximately 250 DCAA attendees from 13 field audit offices within the Eastern Region, Field Detachment and Headquarters.
