DIRECTIONS TO DCAA
The Headquarters Complex has controlled access. Active duty military, individuals with a current DoD/government Common Access Card or a military retiree/dependent ID card are not required to stop at the visitors center and may use any gate to enter the complex. Members of the public, family members, commercial vendors and contractors are considered visitors or guests and must enter the Headquarters Complex through the Visitor Control Center.
The visitor control center is located at the Headquarters gate closest to the Fort Belvoir gate on Kingman Road (second gate entrance). The center’s parking lot is on the immediate right.
DoD security regulations require Headquarters visitors to be cleared before accessing the facility. To reduce wait times, visitors can pre-register online in DBIDS, the Defense Biometric Identification System, before arriving at the center. Pre-registering in DBIDS enables visitors’ sponsors to easily submit requests to Headquarters Security for required background checks without having to handle visitors personally identifiable information. The DBIDS online prescreening process is optional but highly encouraged.
Visitors should take a state-issued photo ID, such as a driver’s license or Virginia Real ID driver’s license and take them to the Headquarters Visitor Control Center for processing and access.
From Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport
Take I-395/I-95 South (towards Richmond/Alexandria) to Exit 166A towards Newington/Fort Belvoir and merge onto Fairfax County Parkway, 286.
Go to the 5th traffic light and turn left onto John J. Kingman Road.
At the 2nd traffic light, turn right to enter the HQC through the main gate.
From Dulles International Airport
Take Route 267 (the Dulles Toll Road) to I-495 (Capital Beltway) and go South for approximately 15 miles.
Take I-95 South (towards Richmond) to Exit 166A towards Newington/Fort Belvoir and merge onto Fairfax County Parkway, 286.
Go to the 5th traffic light and turn left onto John J. Kingman Road.
At the 2nd traffic light, turn right to enter the HQC through the main gate.
From Baltimore Washington International Airport
Take I-95 South (towards Washington/Richmond).
As you approach I-495 (Capital Beltway) stay in the left hand lanes to keep you on I-95/I-495 South towards Richmond/Alexandria.
Cross the Woodrow Wilson Bridge into Virginia and take Route 1 exit South towards Mount Vernon/Fort Belvoir.
Travel approximately 9 miles to Fairfax County Parkway, 286 and turn right.
Go to the 1st traffic light and turn right onto John J. Kingman Road.
At the 2nd traffic light, turn right to enter the HQC through the main gate.
