Financial Liaison Advisors Earn Army Civilian Service Achievement Awards

By DCAA Staff Writer

DCAA’s Financial Liaison Advisors (FLA) at Army Contracting Command – Redstone earned the Army Civilian Service Achievement Medals "For exceptional expertise in contracting, pricing, auditing, and law for the speedy drafting of a response to a DoD IG Audit Inquiry. All parties worked selflessly into the night to ensure the short deadline was met. These individuals researched, calculated, and reviewed several hundred pages of documents to substantiate that the Army was not improperly charged by the contractor, and therefore, no excessive billings occurred.“

The FLAs assisted Army Contracting Command in understanding the types and objectives of audits that had been performed at the prime and subcontractor locations over a several year span. The FLAs also coordinated weekly discussions with the responsible Field Audit Office (FAO) Managers to answer specific questions about prior audits. Additionally, they assisted the Army personnel in determining what service was currently needed from the FAOs and facilitated discussions on the agreement for those procedures. ACC-Redstone also recognized Andrea Leimer, Resident Auditor, Eric Hilerio, Resident Auditor, and Raymond Holbert, FAO Manager from the FAO.
