Peer Review Results

By Fort Belvoir, Va.

The Department of Defense Office of Inspector General (DoD OIG) released the report of its Peer Review of the DCAA today, March 9th.  The review resulted in an opinion of “Pass with Deficiencies.”  We appreciate the review performed by the DoD OIG staff and their opinion that we conducted our audits in accordance with professional standards.  While we didn’t concur with all of the team’s findings, we know that there is always room for improvement in how we conduct our audits, and we are committed to continuous improvement in our audit processes and the delivery of our audits.  We are currently developing training to address the issues identified in the report.

We invite you to read the report and encourage you to also review our full response to the IG findings and conclusions which are included in the report.
