Ms. Ida Pham joined the Senior Executive Service (SES) as the Deputy Regional Director, Western Region, in October 2024. She joined the federal workforce as a DCAA auditor in 2003 and was promoted to a Technical Specialist in 2008. She started her first supervisory auditor position in 2013 and continued to thrive in leadership positions for 16 years. In 2018, Ms. Pham was promoted to a Regional Audit Manager position where she provided oversight and guidance for four Field Offices with over 160 auditors and professional support staff. She rectified the Truth in Negotiations (TiN) program across the region and guided auditors in examining $1.23 billion in baseline costs across eleven TiN audit reports in a three-year period.
Ms. Pham has over 21 years of auditing experience and has proven expertise leading programs and initiatives to success. As a graduate of the Directors Development Program in Leadership (DDPL), the Defense Senior Leader Development Program, and the Federal Executive Institute – Leadership for a Democratic Society Program, she continues to learn and encourages others to explore their career paths and opportunities; “When I accepted an entry level auditor position with DCAA Santa Ana Branch Office over 21 years ago, I had no idea what that road was going to lead to or the amazing people I was going to meet on that journey.”
During the ceremony, Ms. Pham reflected on her life and career, “Today marks a significant milestone in a journey that has been filled with growth, learning, and impact.” Ms. Pham is a well-rounded leader who adapts to overcome challenges and encourages employee development. She continues to inspire others to overcome challenges, break barriers, and make positive change for a better future, “To those of you having aspirations and watching this moment, let this be a symbol of what you can achieve with passion and perseverance. Let it inspire you to set high goals and to keep reaching for them, even when the path is steep, and the obstacles are many.”
