DCAA provides crucial training to the Defense Logistics Agency

By DCAA Staff Writer

The Operations Audit Liaison Division (OAL) is essential for strengthening communication and collaboration between DCAA and major offices involved with significant cost and pricing matters in defense contracting. The auditing professionals in this division are known as Financial Liaison Advisors (FLAs), who service as DCAA’s primary point of contact for major commands.

Recently, Army Team A FLAs worked alongside, Dan Cummings, Senior Auditor with the North Alabama Branch Office, to deliver a DCAA introduction and overview training to the entire Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Aviation team. With approximately 90 people in attendance for the in-person training, FLAs provided valuable insight into DCAA’s mission while gaining crucial exposure to local buying commands. The training also provided education about the critical role of FLAs as the first link between DCAA and command staff. The presentation helped strengthen DCAA’s partnership with DLA, providing future opportunities for collaboration.
