Fort Belvoir, Va. –
DCAA Senior Auditor Tammy Wiseman and Financial Liaison Advisory (FLA) Kimberly Stanton recently delivered four initial training sessions for graduates of the U.S. Army Green Platoon Fellows Program. Their presentation introduced 37 first-year fellows to the elements of an adequate contractor proposal while also providing an overview of DCAA’s services and role in the procurement process.
The Green Platoon is a three-year fellowship program designed to prepare participants for careers as contracting professionals under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act. DCAA’s participation was well received by the Army Contracting Command (ACC) leadership, resulting in both DCAA and the ACC working to incorporate DCAA’s training into future trainings. Tammy and Kimberly’s work has strengthened a crucial partnership between DCAA and the ACC, ensuring fellows gain an early understanding of DCAA’s value across all phases of the procurement process. Reflecting on the experience, Tammy shares, “It was a great opportunity to present with Kimberly and provide insights into the elements of an adequate proposal. This training not only introduced the fellows to DCAA, but also opened the door for future collaboration to enhance the process.”
