The South Central Branch Office earned the appreciation of their customer for their recent work. The office performed work for this customer in the past and it was the caliber of that work which brought the customer back.
The audit team of Kyle Michaels and Marlena Menear audited a $80 million proposal for Forward Looking Infrared Radar engineering and manufacturing. The team examined the direct labor rates and performed testing on the direct materials. Through frequent coordination between the audit team, the customer and the Defense Contract Management Agency personnel, the customer’s needs were met with no duplication of effort among the team. Their efforts resulted a final price of $59.3 million, a savings of over 25 percent.
The customer provided a letter of appreciation to the team for their assistance stating:
