Celebrating National Intern Day

By DCAA Staff Writer

DCAA’s interns are a great addition to our workforce and make valuable contributions. Today, on National Intern Day, we want to share comments from our supervisors about their interns.

“Aaron Wilkins has fit right in with our team.  He is a self-starter and willing to work on any assignment we give him.  He fits in well with everyone in the office and always steps up and offers to help where he can.” – Kody Quast, Mountain View Branch Office

"We have so much appreciation for Greg Lum's eagerness to learn and help in any way that he can. In his time as an intern, he has participated in key walk-throughs and demonstrations, maintained our permanent file, drafted a transmittal to our higher headquarters, and worked alongside auditors to develop both risk and detailed testing working papers. Greg has been an asset to the team and we look forward to continuing to work with him as he transitions to an auditor for the agency!" -  Meghan Moonesinghe, Boeing Evergreen Resident Office

"Ya Yar has been a valuable asset to our team. She recently accompanied us to verify some F-35 aircraft material parts for our MAAR 13 (Material Cost) audit. We've really enjoyed the new perspective she brings to the team and her great questions keeps us on our toes!" – DJ Horton, Lockheed Martin Marietta Resident Office

“Amanda Demine has demonstrated a work ethic and commitment to excellence. Through her innovation, creativity, and collaborative communication style, her dedication to DCAA's TEAM-IT values and staffing mission are notable if not exemplary." – Teliah Walker, Human Capital and Resource Management Directorate

DCAA internships offer current students the opportunity to work for the Federal government while completing their education. These paid internships provide a path to a career at DCAA and allow qualified individuals the opportunity to gain valuable training and career development experience. Internships may also qualify for course credit, depending on your school’s specific policies and requirements. To learn more about our internship opportunities visit our intern webpage.

Thanks to all our interns!
