The Corporate Audit Manager for the General Dynamics/Raytheon Technologies (GDRT) RTX Heritage Field Audit Office and the supporting Field Detachment (FD) Regional Audit Manager hosted a three-day management Jamboree in Dallas, Texas. Attendees were the audit office managers and supervisors of from the RTX Heritage segment offices. The focus of the conference was team-building, collaboration to increase efficiencies, and strategies to increase knowledge of the contractor and its structure.
The conference was a hybrid event with some portions virtual and other in-person. The in-person portion included a discussion with the new Acting GDRT Corporate Audit Director, Ms. Joni Youngberg. Also in-person was a conversation with the GDRT Corporate Audit Directorate Technical Specialists about the latest trends in complex audits. Attending and presenting virtually were the RTX Corporate audit office manager team and the GDRT Professional Support Staff Supervisor.
During the Jamboree, attendees discussed trends observed while performing audits and coordination between the FD and GDRT Team. Some initiatives identified to strengthen the offices include new techniques to develop data analytics, collecting and cataloguing business system artifacts, and providing supervisors and managers opportunities for career development.
