Ms. Jennifer Desautel Appointed DCAA Director

Ms. Jennifer Desautel was appointed as the Director of the Defense Contract Audit Agency on Oct. 20, 2024. Ms. Desautel is a results-driven leader with a proven track record in driving transformative and strategic change, while leveraging advanced technologies to enhance capabilities.

Ms. Desautel began working at DCAA in 2011 as an investigator and became the Director for Boeing Honeywell Corporate Audit Director in 2018. She worked in numerous director and assistant director positions throughout the agency before becoming the Assistant Director, Policy and Quality, at DCAA in March 2022. As the Assistant Director, Policy and Quality, she was responsible for the formulation, development and issuance of contract audit policy and quality assurance for DCAA, including procedures, standards, and guidelines for audit conduct and oversight of the quality control system for over 4,000 employees in nearly 300 locations world-wide.

From May 2023 to June 2024, she completed a detail with the Office of the Secretary of Defense Comptroller. She worked as the Associate Director for Air, Space and Intel, Investment Directorate and was responsible for the DoD’s investment funded, air, space, and intelligence programs where she ensured programs under her purview were properly priced and financed to support the national security objectives of the United States.

Outside of DCAA, Ms. Desautel has over 24 years of extensive experience in accounting, auditing and management. She’s strengthened coalitions with internal and external partners and focuses on effective communication to transform processes and improve knowledge management. She has the knowledge and experience delivering superior results to all stakeholders and continuously keeps a customer focus. We warmly welcome and congratulate Ms. Desautel to the director position.
