Mr. Joseph Bucsko was officially inducted into the Senior Executive Services (SES) during a ceremony on Dec. 11, 2024. Mr. Bucsko started his career with 16 years at the DoD Office of the Inspector General, working as a project manager for the Acquisition and Contracting Management Directorate. He joined DCAA in 2012 and held numerous leadership roles, serving in multiple Division Chief positions in the Policy and Plans Directorate. He later worked as the Deputy Director, Operations Directorate. He moved from DCAA headquarter and then served as the Deputy Director, Field Detachment before becoming a Regional Audit Manager for the Eastern Region.
Mr. Bucsko made a positive impact in every role; he helped coordinate a reorganization that impacted 80 percent of the DCAA workforce. He advocated for professional development and promoted teamwork, increasing productivity and satisfaction in the workplace. Mr. Bucsko also conducted and presented business process reviews of DCAA’s policy and its alignment to Generally Accepted Government Accounting Standards. Ms. Jennifer Desautel, Director DCAA, shared, “As you can see from just these few examples, Joe has the qualities we need in our SES cadre – not just leadership but vision to make positive changes with long term positive impacts.”
Mr. Bucsko thanked his family and friends for attending the ceremony, sharing his journey, pride in his achievements, and acknowledged all who had contributed to his professional success.
