Fort Belvoir, Va. –
Sharon Richman, Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Office, Fort Worth, Texas, is DCAA’s Professional Support Staff Supervisor of the Year. Sharon supervises the support staff in three offices located in three states. She is dedicated to the smooth day-to-day operations of the office and does so by prioritizing duties, exhibiting outstanding leadership skills, and demonstrating an unwavering commitment to DCAA’s values.
In the past year, she led the initiative to combine specific administrative tasks across the Lockheed Martin Corporate Audit Directorate. Her efforts increased the efficiency of processes and resulted in a faster processing time for audit reports, which is now under an hour. Sharon exemplifies teamwork and willingly stays late to ensure tasks are completed on time. She is constantly looking for ways to relieve auditors of administrative tasks so they can focus on the audit mission. To that end, she will create travel authorizations and vouchers for auditors since they travel infrequently, are unfamiliar with the task, and she can perform this task more efficiently. Her skills and knowledge are known across the Directorate, and she is constantly mentoring other administrative professionals and providing training.
Outside of the office, Ms. Richman is active in volunteer and social activities. She collects eyeglasses, winter coats for the needy, and toiletries for the homeless. She is also President of the Texas Outdoor Women – Fort Worth Chapter, Secretary of the Story Lane Independent Living, and work volunteer of The WARM Place. Finally, she is an active member of Sisters on the Fly and the Chisholm Trail Chaparral Dutch Oven.
Ms. Richman will be retiring at the end of 2020 after 39 years of service. She will stay active volunteering, spending time with her grandkids and with outside activities.
