Celebrating Women Who Advocate for Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion with Nicole Gan

Her journey began as a dedicated schoolteacher, but her transition to a Business Analyst role within State Government sparked her passion for public service. While earning her bachelor’s degree in accounting and working towards her International Master of Business Administration (MBA), Nicole’s education took her abroad. While studying abroad, she immersed herself in diverse cultures and broadened her perspectives, which influenced her decision to become an Internal Auditor at a Fortune 500 company. There, she continued traveling and performing audits before joining DCAA.

Nicole is a firm advocate for empowering people and fostering positive workplace cultures. With over a decade of supervisory and technical expertise, she implements a range of people-first strategies and places emphasis on personnel development, strategic thinking, and effective project management. Her goal is to create an inclusive workplace where every person is valued. She has successfully led projects and initiatives within DCAA, leading and promoting impactful changes to policies and projects while encouraging collaboration and unity. In addition to innovating diversity and inclusion efforts in the workplace, Nicole became embedded in the establishment of DCAA’s Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility (DEIA) council and serves as an active member. In addition to her internal responsibilities, Nicole actively engages in cross-agency coordination efforts, broadening her understanding and fostering innovation in the workplace.
